Product Details:

Tasso SAS Blank Plate 4T

The SAS is designed to send air into your exhaust to make your CAT work more efficiently and also thin out the mixture when testing for emissions. The SAS is a reedvalve air intake unit that pulls air from the airbox and into a port located on your cylinder head near to the exhaust port.

If you are fitting an aftermarket non standard exhaust you will have no need for the SAS as you will no longer have a CAT inside the exhaust. Blanking the SAS will stop the ‘popping’ when you off throttle or gear down which is more noticeable in straight through exhausts with less back pressure and baffling. The popping is caused by the extra air sent into your exhaust port by the SAS.

Removing or disabling the SAS will have no ill effects whatsoever to the engine even if its is still stock. It will have no affect your fuel mileage, power, or general engine running condition.

This will fit all 4T geared models, 125 / 150 and 200. We recommend changing the gasket also. Remember when removing the entire SAS unit you need to plug the tube to the carb inlet manifold and air box. You can then remove the SAS reed valve block and tubes.
